Well it has been a week since we have been back from Vegas. We had a great time together. Here is our vacation in a nutshell, starting from Easter Sunday. We went to church and served in the 56th street department for two services then we went to Mimi and Popop's house for Easter brunch. After we spent some time with Daniel's family we drove up to Hesperia to see my parents. We had a great time with both families and the food that day was off the hook! We spent the night with my parents and then drove up to Vegas on Monday morning.
We stayed at the Aladdin right on the stip. It was a very beautiful hotel with a huge mall attached and a Starbucks right in the casino. The line for Starbucks each morning as out the door and around the corner, but for some reason, worth the wait since the hotel did not provide coffeemakers in your hotel room. I liked getting up and going downstairs to get coffee. It was nice how everything was right there and we didnt have to drive anywhere. We ate at an amazing buffet and saw David Copperfield. It was pretty neat to see those tricks in person, it makes it seem so real, even though Daniel knew how all the tricks were done. We went into the large Coke store, but found that they didnt sell coke. We didnt look upstairs, so maybe they were just hiding it up there. I got to laze by the pool for most of Wednesday while Daniel studied for his test on Thursday night. We drove home early Thursday morning and got back in time for Daniel to study and take the test. I love going away with my husband, it is just him and I and we seem to find fun whereever we go.
I wish we could get away more, but time and money do not allow that to happen. Anyways, thanks for reading about our mini-vacation... and we pray that you and your family will find a time to rest and enjoy each other. Many Blessings!
