-------Oh freedom.
This picture screams it.
Hands high, hair flying in the wind, walking in your Nike's in just a romper.. to be free, without a care.
This is the type of freedom I have in Christ.
He carries all my burdens.
He satisfies all my needs.
He fights all my battles.
He fills my love tank.
He holds my tears and comforts me.
He thinks I'm beautiful.
He loves me, because I am His daughter.
It hasn't always been like this. I wasn't always so sure of those statements.
Most of my life I struggled with fitting in. Feeling adequate. enough.
I felt so stuck in a mold, having to be a certain way. Confined to what was cool or daring or worthy.
Bound by the validation of the world.
Then, I found the freedom in Christ.
The freedom to be the true person I was made to be.
The true self I was designed for.
I could finally lift my face high, stretch my arms out and dance.
Dance in the glory that is my Father.
Dance in the fact that I am accepted. I am in the club that matters the most.
Free of having to be what the world tells us to be.
I am free.
Free of this world.
Free to not focus on myself so much but to focus on the desires Christ has placed in my heart.
Free to confidently serve Him with the talents HE gave me.
So free and so grateful.
Freedom is easy and can happen in an instant and will change the rest of your life.
