Insta Friday- Late Edition

Insta Friday, from the past 3ish Fridays... I hope you still enjoy!

Two weeks ago, my business manager (aka my husband) and I woke up at 4:00 AM and drove the 2 hours to San Diego for The Queen Bee Market.
It was early.
Like early, early.

We had a great time.
I got to talk to my handmade friends, make new ones.
Daniel got to see a movie, hang out with a friend and nap.
I left with this adorable headband from Emily Sparks. I love it! Now it just needs to get cold enough to wear!

Monday was Operation-Get-The-House-Back-In-Order day.
It was also Fail-To-Get-The-House-Back-In-Order day.
I would clean an area, Kins would destroy it.
This happened three times before I kicked the bucket on cleaning.
Then I invited my friend Kristen to come over and talk business, that made me clean, well at least the dining room table.

This little wakes up with the best bed head every day.
Might have something to do with her fav sleeping position- Butt Up!

So I am making more of an effort these days.
The first pictures I am showing you what I did with my Amy Cornwell charms, this is my fav necklace right now. It goes with everything and it has a starfish!
I got this plaid shirt at TJ Maxx, but it's from American Eagle, I love the retro plaid and the coloring.
My hair is one of the things I need to work on, I don't straighten it all that often, I definitely need to do that more, it just takes so long...blah blah blah...

On my Brain

Just a few things...

1. Kins has had hives. HIVES. I am not allergic to anything. I have never had hives. I don't know what to do. They are weird hives, the come if anything touches her skin and then they go away very quickly. This has happened for two days. This is the part I DO NOT like about being a mommy. About being the adult. About making the decisions on what the best course of action will be. Because, really, I do not know what I am doing.

2. I purchased my SNAP! Conference ticket today. YES!! SO excited to visit Utah (never been) and to visit all my friends and make new ones... Who wants to be my friend??

3. My fabric stash is low... very low.  Queen Bee Market sucked me dry of my fabric loveliness.  Oh well, must buy more...shucks, too bad!!

4. Operation-Get-House-Back-In-Order is still going. Since Kins is teething, it has totally stopped our life it feels. She had boycotted her bedtime, her eating, her regular behavior and left us stumped, scratching our heads.  She has since started eating like usual, sleeping like normal, and laughing and screeching again. Oh how I love that screeching...

5. I have also started running.. ha, running like, jog for 2 minutes and walk for one... for like 20 minutes. It's a start and I plan on doing it when I can and when I feel like it. I am not a good exercisers. I feel defeated when I have no motivation and then just give up completely. So, no more. I will work out when I can and eat better....but still have In n Out too.

6. If you don't already, you should follow me on Pinterest and get to know my style a little more.

Aren't those boots great?! Love them...and maybe with that dress...just maybe!

I Love My Birthday

My birthday has come and gone.
I was so busy with Queen Bee that it went by in a flash.
It is August 3rd and I will say my actual birth date is 8/3/83, I know...I'm rad.

For the actual day, I took time off from sewing and planning and prepping for Queen Bee and spent it alone and with my family.

On the agenda for the day was a pedicure, where I proceeded to get a bumble bee painted on my toes, I know... I'm a dork.
After the toe painting, I got a hair cut and rushed home to go to Disneyland.
When I got home, my husband had everything ready to go as well as flower and some gifts. He is such a good man.

We were headed to Disneyland!
Kins' first time and we were like giddy little kids ourselves.
We couldn't wait to take her on rides, get her a hat and let her see all the wonderful things.
On the bus going from our car to Disneyland!

On her first ride, Ariel's Grotto.  Funny picture of Daniel! ha.

I am so sad this picture is blurry, look at that huge smile on her face.

Kins and her ears in front of the Castle. PS> I walked around in my rainbows all day and my feet didn't hurt one bit. Go get some if you don't have any. I can say that they really became comfortable after I took them in the ocean. Side note over.

In line for Peter Pan. It was soooo hot in that line, I was giving her water like it was going out of style!

She was pooped and FINALLY took a nap in the stroller. I really enjoy people watching, so this was fun.

Our only family picture for the day!

Walking and walking, her favorite hobby.

We took her on three rides, Ariel, Peter Pan and Pirates, she loved all of them. Now I want a Disneyland pass so we can make everyday a mini vacation. We will see...

Thanks for enduring all the pictures. I love my birthday!

Insta Friday IS SO FUN!

Life. Through phone pictures.
Our week.

Saturday night I got to go see two of my very best friends preform in a dance recital. I didn't get a picture with my other friend Sara. She is an amazing dancer and teacher. Kate, the girl in the first picture on the left danced as well. They are both just beautiful inside and out and use their dance to worship our Lord. Makes me cry every time I see them.

The bottom picture is of Jessica and me.  We are hardly ever serious, doesn't matter that we're almost 28 and have kids. We love being silly.

We headed down to the beach and spent the afternoon.
I gathered seashells and rocks for kins to play with.
She loved it, then decided to hit her eye with a rock, no joke. When she's tired, she will rub her pacifier in her eye, so maybe she was trying to do this, but with a rock. Now she has a bruise on her eye, poor baby!

New Queen Bee Market clutch from a Crate and Barrel dishtowel.
AND, my nail polish was really inspiring my fabric choices and making me feel pretty!

We couldn't help ourselves. We made another trip to the beach, with some sweet friends.
I got sunburned on my back, big time.

Boys need handmade love too.  FABRIC BUNTING!!!

Husband came home early on Wednesday, got a babysitter, AND took me out to dinner... yum yum.
So I put on my green shirt, and actually wore black eyeliner, I usually wear brown...but went crazy and wore black, holla!

 Cutest.little.lady.
My heart is hers.
I adore her to infinity.

Close Ups

We have been in the heart of illness.
Kins has had her first fever... for four days straight.
Her fever was high and there was a rash involved and and and...
Thankfully she has a virus that will work itself out.

My mom called me today and asked, "So, what else is new..."
My thought was, I have no idea. We have been on pause for five days, trying to get our babes better.
I would like to share with you a little of my surroundings day in and day out.
Close ups of our home.

1. This vintage mason jar and yellow lotus candle holder were found at my fav Goodwill on separate occasions.
2. Fabric. Beautiful fabric. On my dining room table. Instead of food, fabric.
3. Peaking through my husbands huge vase of sticks in our engagement photo matted, with signatures form our wedding guests. Love this piece.
4. A beautiful flower from a plant I did not kill. Beauty right there. Daniel got this for me for Valentine's day. It's had a long and fulfilling life so far!

1. Lovely stack of knowledge. A bible. Ministry of Motherhood. My bible study/prayer/sermon journal. AND a polka dotty pen.
2. Our living room floor on ALL days is covered with toys. Familiar?
3. A pot without plant. My brother painted this gorg bird for us for Christmas one year. It resides on our wall of bookcases.
4. A shelf filled with beautifully, colorful vintage books from my Mother-In-Law. I take these to handmade markets for display.

Thank you for enduring my details. Our life filled with mess, beauty, sleepless nights, pleading prayers, and laughter...oh the laughter, it's hilarious.
