I have a soft soul.
A tender-heart.
I cry easily. If you start to cry, I will join you. I'm nice like that.
I can't control it.
I just cry, it just comes.
You know that knot in your throat, that sneaks up on you?
When I cry, I can't talk.
It sounds like a whisper or if I really try it sounds like a teenage boy going through puberty.
I will cry when someone succeeds.
When a sports team wins.
When someone is going through a hard time.
When there is lose or happiness or joy or anger.
I will cry.
My friend's husband calls it "The Peralta Plumbing"
(Peralta is my maiden name)
Sometimes I get embarrassed by it.
I don't want to cry and have my face look all contorted.
I don't want to have to explain myself.
I don't want people to notice I'm crying when no one else is.
Today I balled and cried with some lovely women.
I listened to their stories and enjoyed their laughter.
They opened their hearts and poured it out.
We were able to connect and share.
It felt so good to share with women, to not think about networking or competition or or or...
This is what was needed to get my perspective back to reality.
My perspective needs to start with my Father and how He wants to use me. What He has planned for me in this season.
I want to encourage you to look above, set your eyes on our Lord and His plans for your life. Where does he have you right now? How can you show Jesus to others? How can you speak truth into others' lives?
Thank you for reading and sharing and encouraging. I value you and am grateful for all your comments. Also, I pray for you. Just so you know, I scroll through and pray for you. xoxo
Much love from me to you!
