New Shop

I have decided to open a Big Cartel shop.
There are pros and cons from both Big Cartel and Etsy.
Both are great in their own ways.

In the new shop I have all my, in-stock pouches.

You will find our newest edition The Mini.
These Minis' are 7x4 with two credit card/business card slots inside.
They are fully lined and padded and fit perfecting in both the regular and medium size Wrist Clutch.
The Mini Shab Modern Dot is available in the Big Cartel shop now!

I also have a ton of Medium Wrist Clutches and Regular Wrist Clutches.
Isn't this rainbow chevron to die for? It screams happy! Available here!

Many more options for you as well.

Big Cartel pros (so far): Easy listing page, shop display, monthly fee, shows you how many page views each day, shows you how many product views, and did I mention MONTHLY FEE!!

Etsy charges you a fee for each listing and then also if that listing sells as well as pay pal charging you if someone purchases through your shop. Big Cartel has a monthly fee, which varies depending on which plan you choose. I like this idea a lot.

Still testing out the waters, but so far, loving it.
I also still have my Etsy shop open and running with a few clutches in there.

Queen Bee-Booth Feature and Some Tips

Thank you all for hanging in there with me while I frantically got everything ready for The Queen Bee Market.

This past Saturday was a whirlwind of a good time. Daniel and I woke up at 4:00 AM and headed down to San Diego. It was EARLY to say the least.

Here's some fun pictures of my booth:

This is my fourth Queen Bee Market and I can tell you that we have got this down! Here are some tips for being a successful vendor.

1. Set up your booth at home, complete with product placement. Don't come to a market and think you'll just figure it out. More than likely you will run out of time or feel frazzled.

2. Make friends with your neighbors. Introduce yourself and take some time to admire their hard work.

(Top left: the *new* Mini's on display. Soft and Lacy Lil' Nesters. Vintage frames. Close up on the Mini's)

3. Offer your help to the people putting on the show, other vendors, or whoever seems lost. You are there to sell your stuff, but to also network and represent your products. Do this wisely. Smile.

4. When dreaming up your booth, don't underestimate your ability or dream. Make it happen. More than likely, it's a good idea and it will go over well. But also consider those around you. Take note of how it looks on all sides, you will probably not be up against a wall.

5. Last thing I want to share with you is to love, talk, encourage other vendors. Yes, we are all showcasing our work; yes we are all having the same customers, but really, try not to compete as best as you can. Share the love for handmade openly and wholeheartedly.

I am not an expert.
I only share these things from my experiences.
I love handmade and participating in Markets.
I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and try it.

A HUGE thank you to Mique and Jessica for always putting on a top quality show. They are really amazing and hard working ladies. Always willing to help and encourage and go above and beyond what is expected of them. I appreciate them so much. Thank you Thank you!!

Busy Bee

Oh friends,
I have not left you.
I have been diligently working to make lots of pretty items for The Queen Bee Market this weekend.

Sorry for my lack of posts, but you are not far from my mind, I can assure you of that.
Nothing to do this weekend?
Come to The Queen Bee Market in San Diego at the Bayfront Hilton on Saturday from 9-6. I will be there all day with my OliveBlue booth. I would love to meet you and chat. Come visit us!

Lots and lots of amazing handmade ladies will be present and excited to see your happy face.
I will bring my turquoise fence and wrist pouches!

Boys and Girls fabric bunting will be in attendance as well.

Can't wait to see you this Saturday, August 6th!!

Insta Pretty

For those of you that follow me on instagr.am, you probably get tired of all my studio pictures.
I can't help but take pictures of the pretty fabrics, notions, and color combinations.
For those of you that don't follow me, or even know what it is (it's a picture app for the iphone) I thought I would share with you.

I'm calling this Insta Pretty:

This pretty fabric bunting is getting itself prepared for the Queen Bee Market on August 6th.  I added some lacy lace for some girly sweetness.

Some newer fabrics I picked up AND a little secret....sometimes, I use cloth napkins as fabric for my creations. Those two at the bottom are napkins from Crate and Barrel, they were just too pretty to wipe my hands on!

More bunting! Boy colors are next! The boy bunting sold out at the last Queen Bee! I'll make sure I have more in stock.

Vintage. Wooden.  Spools! EEEEPPPP!

** New clutch** Rainbow chevron with an aqua flower!

The small stack of clutches I have ready for Queen Bee, hoping to quadrupedal that by August.

Did you like all the pretty fabric?  Isn't it inspiring?
